Parminder Basran, Ph.D. (Physics) is an Associate Research Professor at Cornell University in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Through his lab and his clinical practices, he studies the use of AI in veterinary and human medicine. His lab focuses on computer vision, medical image analysis, and oncology. He is an advocate for open science and promoting safe, ethical, and responsible use of AI technologies.

Professor Basran is the author of the widely cited articles “What’s in the box?
