Raquel J. Gabriel is a Professor of Law and Director of the Law Library at CUNY School of Law, where she teaches Legal Research and Advanced Legal Research. Her scholarly interests include diversity issues in the pedagogy of teaching legal research, in legal education, and within the law librarianship profession. In 2023, she served as Interim Academic Dean at CUNY Law, where she oversaw the academic program.
She is one of the co-editors of Integrating Doctrine and Diversity: Inclusion and Equity in the Law School Classroom (2021) and Integrating Doctrine and Diversity: Beyond the First Year (2024). She is also co-editor of the forthcoming book Exploring Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Academic Law Librarianship: Historical Reflections, Present Challenges, and Future Opportunities.
