Michelle Trovillo has worked in the legal law librarian profession since 2003. She began her law librarian career as a legal researcher and electronic services librarian at an AMLAW 200 firm. In 2011, she advanced her career by taking on the role of Legal Content Manager at the AMLAW 100 firm, BakerHostetler, LLP.
In 2023, Michelle was promoted to Director of Information Resources (IR). The IR department encompasses Legal Research Services, Legal Content Services, Content Integration, and Technology Training. Under her leadership, the Information Resources (IR) department unites Legal Research Services, Legal Content Services, Content Integration, and Research & Technology Training. This collaborative team of experts is dedicated to delivering specialized and in-depth research services, ensuring seamless access to the firm’s comprehensive research tools and legal databases, and crafting tailored learning experiences and innovative solutions that align with the evolving needs of their clients.
Michelle is dedicated to contributing to the law library and information services profession through her active involvement in several committees within the American Association of Law Librarians (AALL) and Private Law Librarians & Information Professionals SIS (PLLIP). She was honored to receive the 2022 AALL Presidential Certificate of Appreciation, 2023 AALL Volunteer Service Award, and the 2024 PLLIP Best Blogger/Writer Award.
