Director of Global Legal Content Initiatives
LLMC
Bloomington, Minnesota, United States
Joe is the Director of Global Legal Content Initiatives at LLMC since 2019. Previously, he worked in several Head of Technical Services positions in academic law libraries, lastly at St. John’s University Law Library. He received his B.A./B.S. and M.L.S. from the University of Pittsburgh. With a little bit of knowledge in most Technical Services areas, his preference is cataloging and metadata creation. When SCCTP (Serials Cataloging Cooperative Training Program), a program of the Library of Congress, was created back in the late 1990’s, Joe immediately became a certified trainer for all 5 of the SCCTP workshop sessions. He has taught these SCCTP classes at many universities and conferences in the USA. Along with colleagues in the USA and Mexico, Joe participated in translation of these training materials and presentations into Spanish. This opened the door for Joe to present the SCCTP training sessions in Spanish throughout most of Latin America and the Caribbean.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys travelling. He has taken many road trips and is proud to have travelled in all 50 U.S. States. He also enjoys foreign travel and tries to visit a new country (or more) each year! He also enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family.
