As Associate Director of the Penn State Law Montague Law Library, Theresa K. Tarves is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the Law Library. She assists the associate dean and director of the Law Library with long-range planning and budget administration, as well as project identification and implementation. Additionally, Tarves teaches a required 1L Legal Research course, advanced legal research, and administrative law research. Her research areas include legal research competency, technology competence, and legal research assessment and feedback.
Prior to joining Penn State Law, Tarves served as manager of research services for the Knowledge Management Division of the Philadelphia firm of Fox Rothschild, LLP. She previously served as associate counsel/compliance officer for a major medical reference laboratory in New Jersey, where she provided legal and non-legal research and legal analysis for departmental attorneys.
