Randi Flaherty works in UVA Law Special Collections to interpret and share the history of the UVA School of Law and to support research in the Library’s archival, rare book, and digital collections. She received her Ph.D. in history with a focus on the politics and global geography of trade in the early American republic and has served as a fellow at the UVA Scholars’ Lab and the Monticello’s Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies. Randi teaches on the history of the University of Virginia and is currently co-editting a book on the 200-year history of the UVA School of Law (forthcoming, 2025).
