Joni Lynn Cassidy has her M.L.S. from the Brookville Center of Long Island University and is the founder and co-owner of Cassidy Cataloguing Services, Inc., a 38-year-old company that catalogs the electronic resources of legal and business publishers, creates Publisher Cataloging in Publication (P-CIP) records for hundreds of small publishers and independent authors, and provides contract cataloging services to law libraries throughout the world.
Personally, Joni has served as Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University, Queens College of the City University of NY, Kean University in Union, NJ and Long Island University’s Westchester and Brookville centers. She has taught the core Technical Services course, Advanced Cataloging and Cataloging for School Media Specialists. Joni is most proud of the students who have entered her cataloging classes expecting to suffer through it and have left as enthusiastic catalogers and technical service librarians.
For the past 25 years, Joni and her husband have spent their leisure time, in succession, with their 5 Bernese Mountain Dogs followed by their Beagle-mix, Marty.
