As a native of South Florida, Ms. LaBossiere has enjoyed a lifestyle surrounded by cultural diversity. Throughout her career, she has strived to bring increased diversity practices to law and librarianship. Ms. LaBossiere received her Master’s in Library and Information Science from Florida State University and received her Juris Doctor at Indiana University Purdue University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Ms. LaBossiere initially began her career as a Reference Librarian at Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad College of Law. During her initial employment with NSU Law, Ms. LaBossiere served as Chair of the South Eastern Association of Law Librarians (“SEALL”) Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She also published subject-related works and presented programs at both SEAALL and the American Association of Law Library (“AALL”) conferences related to increasing diversity practices in the workplace and in the classroom. In order to gain more practical experience in the legal field, Ms. LaBossiere served for two years as an Assistant Public Defender at the Broward County Office of the Public Defender, defending the rights of our most vulnerable population. Presently, Ms. LaBossiere is excited to return to law librarianship and serve the NSU Law students, faculty, and staff as a Technical Services and Reference Librarian and Adjunct Professor of Law at Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad College of Law.
