This program ties all of these concepts and more together into the modern publication lifecycle. The speakers will draw on their years of experience working with authors and journals to provide an introduction to these challenges and the tools that can be used to solve them. Attendees will come away from this program with strategies for working with journals and authors to efficiently navigate the entire publication lifecycle.

Target Audience:

Librarians at any career stage who are engaged with scholarly communications, student and faculty legal journals or other serial publications, or those interested in ideas for interdepartmental collaboration. 

Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to demonstrate the institutional return on investment by involving librarians in the publication process.
Participants will be able to identify three tools to increase scholarly impact and discoverability.
Participants will be able to design a publication workflow for implementation at their own institutions using the checklists provided.
